A flash mobbing and street interactive project for the Woodford Folk Festival that ran from 2009 to 2015.
Each year we would teach a dance performance that we would flash mob on the streets of Woodford. We also invented several other flash mob style events to delight people with the unexpected.
The annual Running of the Bulls involved running through the festival with half the crowd in white ponchos and the other half dressed as bulls.
The HUG WAR is fierce battle. Two side gather and face off to great speeches. Bir Rory gives a stirring rendition of the William Wallace Braveheart speech, except instead of discussing fighting, we talk about hugs. The crowds raise their arms and charge. Intense and wild hugging ensues. We have continued this event on New Years Eve in the amphitheatre.
